By allocating a greater amount of time per patient it is possible to provide less hurried and more caring treatment and, at the same time, reduce unnecessary waiting time. Stewart and Tom both intend to punctually keep to appointment times and apologise should unforeseen circumstances cause any delay. There is no charge for cancellations but patients are asked to inform reception at least 24 hours beforehand so that the appointment can be reallocated. There is a certain amount of time allocated in each working day for patients who need urgent attention. Emergencies, at any time, will always be dealt with by contacting the practice number. In addition, both Tom and Stewart continue to contribute to the NHS emergency rota system for the area. Patients are provided with written estimates of treatment costs. Rather than allowing the cost of treatment to accumulate, it is practice policy that patients pay at the end of each visit. Payment can be made by cheque, cash, credit card or Switch.
